Quick mobile question

All you people with far better technical skills than I - how do people in Australia call me on my mobile (with international roaming activated) when I'm in the US??

Do they need to do 0011 1 (number without first 0)?

We have travel SIM's in 2 phones which we will use to msg/call each other, but I'm going to take my usual phone for my replacement at work to use in case of emergencies (it's a very basic prepaid mobile with no data so I won't come home to any shockingly large bills).

They just call your normal mobile number. No change. Be aware though you pay the cost of the call from Australia to the USA so don't stay on the phone too long. If its a prepaid though at least you have a limit though and you can't get bill shock back at home.

Thanks, it seems almost too easy. I'm going to tell them just to send me a quick sms if there's any problems, then we can email or Skype from my laptop when I'm back in the hotel room.
