Quick! Last minute with SPD in Jan or wait til May

Ok so I can get pretty good airfare for $525 non stop for a family of 4 in Jan. using the SPD current promo in a value for 7 nights 5 day PH with QS dining plan for just under $2700 in a standard room.

We were thinking about doing a May trip for the first time, but I am afraid the discounts won't be as good! I already researched and the rooms cost more that time of year but the weather is guaranteed to be warm! What type of discount should I expect for May?

Is the January trip going to be that much cheaper based on historical discounts for May???? WWYD! I'm also nervous about getting FP since we are so close to the Jan 10 check in!

There are several good points about each date.
For a January trip:
- cheaper
- less crowded

For May trip
- more time to plan ADRs and FP+
- warmer weather

So I guess it depends how you tour. If you want some pool/water park time, it will probably be too cold in January.

If you are very flexible about May, then you will probably be able to grab some kind of discount but as you said it will probably still cost more than January.

Is both an option?

We booked the Jan trip! I wish both was an option We have gone in January in past years and have been able to swim one trip and wore coats another! I was actually able to get pretty good fast passes and was able to use the "secret" way to get a fp for BOG lunch! So overall I am happy with our decision, fast passes, and discount. It's not good as FD, but I guess I cant complain
