Quick last minute question!

Last question, I promise! We leave tomorrow morning for DLR and I was wondering if there is Wifi in Disneyland itself? I've got an app on my phone to play hunt the hidden Mickey but if there is no wifi, then my roaming charges are going to be insane!

I don't think so. The nearest Wifi would be GCH Lobby.

Call your cell phone provider, tell them you are going on vacation, and do they have a way to temporary change your plan so you don't have any roaming charges.

I did this one year! they changed my plan for 1 month! It of course was a simpler time.

EDIT: My daughter told me that she has seen commercials for a phone app to check line times and fastpass times. Because Disneyland has this line wait time app, your phone should be able to access the hidden mickey app without roaming. However, I would go to the official website of your phone's service provider and check the coverage in Anaheim (some service providers allow you to type in a specific address, so if you put in Disneyland's address, you should see what kind of coverage you have). If you do not have coverage in Disneyland, I would call your service provider and ask if they have a temporary plan change so you don't have the roaming charges.

Since I'm Canadian, it's unlikely that I will have non-roaming coverage, sadly.

I'm Canadian also and recently discussed my upcoming trip with my cell phone company and they can do something to help with the roaming.

I've seen that commercial as well. It looks really great, but unfortunately it's only for Verizon customers and I have AT&T. I use Mousewait instead. Either way, Disneyland having an official app doesn't mean that it's giving off any type of signal in the parks. It would still be roaming for the OP to use the internet.

In DCA, I was able to get wifi from GCH a couple of times. It was spotty, but it was there. I'm pretty sure I saw another DL wifi signal at some point in DL, but I don't think I was able to connect.

We're also Canadian and when we went to WDW in Feb. (my DBF is with Bell) they gave him a 15$ plan that gave him a certain amount of phone call time and texts without charges. It wasn't a lot but it was plenty more than we needed for our week-long stay.

I know OP has already left - but last week DH and I could not get wifi in the parks. Only the GCH lobby.
