Quick Kindle Question...

Is the Kindle easy to see & read outside in the sun? My favorite places to read are on my deck and at the beach.

I'd really love to get one, but it must be "sunshine friendly"

Generally non-backlit devices are easier to read out doors than backlit ones.

i can't respond about the kindle but the sony reader has gray scale pages which make it easy to read in direct sunlight.

Completely sunshine friendly. I've had it at the beach and on the deck in full sunlight!

Of course "NOW" I have to have one...Guess I'm off to Amazon and since I saw the link Kevin posted for those beautiful leather covers ...I think that will be on the agenda also.
