I have an interview this afternoon. I am wearing a black suit skirt and a very nice lavendar sweater set from Ann Taylor (bday present...thanks mom! :teeth: ). Now, I brought my suit jacket with me, but I'm not sure...

Should I go with the sweater set, or take the cardigan off and put the suit jacket over the shell?

TIA!

Which one do you feel more confident and comfortable in? I say go with that...
Good Luck!! :thumbsup2

suit jacket over shell.

if you sweat bullets...one less layer would be nice.

good luck!

to some extent, this depends entirely on the type of job you are applying for and the office "dress code" where you will be working.

For me, I look horrible in a suit. So, for my last set of interviews, I wore twin sets and/or sweaters with dress pants. I got both jobs...and the field is rather conservative/professional.

One thing I've learned...it is important to be comfortable and confident. If you look polised and neat and clean and present your self professionally...then what you are wearing can be less of an issue.

Good Luck!!! :wizard:

Personally I'd go with the suit jacket over the shell.

I have a few of those Ann Taylor sweater sets. I love them. And the great thing...they wash really well too!

I'd go with the suit jacket over the shell. Never a bad choice.

Okay...I was leaning toward the jacket too...so that's what I'll go with!

And no, no white shoes! :teeth:

I vote for the jacket too. Good luck! :cheer2:

Update: thanks for the advice, everyone. It worked so well I have a second interview!! Now I have to figure out a second interview outfit! :teeth:

OMG--did I interview you, Mal? :lmao: By Thursday, I'll have done 18 interviews over the last 2 weeks.

Congrats on the second interview. I didn't know you were looking for a new job. Best of luck; I know you'll do great!
