Quick January Questions

Good Morning All!!! I have been working way too much, and feel totally uninformed for our upcoming trip (the 10th-13th) - so wanted to throw out a couple of quick questions:

1. I saw here EE changed from Mon to Sun - anything else drastic in 2008 that I have missed???

2. It says that HM will be down to remove the holiday overlay, will IASW still be up in holiday mode, will all the other decorations be in the process of being ripped down???

3. What is the weather typically like??? I moved to the White Mountains (AZ) from Gilbert, AZ - so I am guessing somewhere in the middle???

4. We are staying at the PP, it has been a while since we stayed there - can we use the GCH entrance with our room key, or is that exclusive to the GCH???

And if there is anything else exciting I have missed - I don't get to spend nearly as much time on these boards anymore!!!

Hi Ami! Brrr. . . the White Mountains sound cold. Especially since it's in the 50's down here in the desert valley.

I'd say just about all of the Christmas decorations will be down when you get there on the 10th. They will start slowly coming down the weekend of the 5-6 and will quickly disappear between the 7-8.

One awesome thing is that you will be able to see the DEP at DCA on Fri-Sun nights. BPB will be leaving DCA permanently, so they'll be using the DEP as a filler until they get the new Pixar Play parade up and running in the spring.

I've heard both yes and no answers to your question about the GCH entrance, and haven't tried it myself, so hopefully someone else can give you a definite answer.

We were still able to use the GCH entrance to CA on our trip earlier this month. In the morning we just had to show our charge slip along with our APs and we were in.

We'll be overlapping you on a few days we arrive on the 11th and will also be staying at PP. We're planning on dressing in layers. That way we will be safe no matter what the weather is.

I have stayed at PP and used the GCH entrance, our entire 5 day trip. I don't think it is a problem... at least it wasn't for us when we went in September. Good luck!

Any guest of the Disneyland Resort Hotels can use the GCH entrance. All you have to do is show your charge slip and park tickets.

Awesome - thanks for the help as always. DH was concerned that we wouldn't be able to use the entrance, I guess the poor guy has been spoiled by the last few trips at the GCH ... I told him it shouldn't be a problem but wanted my friends at the DIS to back me up on it!!! Last time we stayed at PP they still had the "secret" entrance to DCA - I miss that entrance!!!

I didn't read all the answers yet but I too am in AZ & we're going the same time as YOU! We drive over on the 9th, and back home on the 14th....so we'll be at the parks 10-13th!

On weather.com it stated the averages were 69 high, 48 low. You may be able to handle it considering you've been in the White Mountains but *I* will be COLD if it's near that or a below.
