Okay, my airline has gotten me again..long story, I won't go into it.

I have reservations for the WL from May 5-13. But now I'll be arriving on May 4th!!!

What is the best hotel to stay at in the Downtown Disney area? I just need a room for two and easy transportation to the Wilderness Lodge for check-in on the 5th.

The BONUS is that I'll have all day of the 5th available (we were arriving late) but now I'll have to transfer hotels, which I was hoping to avoid.

Any recommendations??

Wilderness Lodge May '01 (can't WAIT!!!)

We stayed at the Courtyard DD and it was nice. They have trasportation to the parks, but I am not sure if they will drop you off at a hotel. There were several taxis that were at the hotel. Have you checked the Entertainment club rate? They offer about 5 different hotels in the dd location for 50% off the rack rate. There have also been numerous posts that people have been getting priceline bids at the Courtyard DD for $18-30 per night. Check the threads for DD hotel under search.

I know that the Doubletree Guest Suites had a rate of $128.00 on their website.

I also know that the Wyndham Palace also had a good rate of $129.00 on their website.

I checked for the first week of May, about 2-3 weeks ago.

Good Luck!

If it were me, I'd use Priceline. It's very possible that if you bid $53 on a 4* you'll get the Wyndham Palace. But that isn't guaranteed, so if you HAVE to be in DTD I guess you shouldn't take the chance.
