Quick! I have a Disneyland dilemma..

Honestly, with only one day to do the highlights of BOTH parks I would skip both Blue Bayou & WoC. With one day I would not want to waste time eating or dedicate 2 hours to one show.
Especially with just one day for 2 parks.

I would love to hear about your day!
Hi there! I'll give you a quick rundown.

So I ended up keeping both the 1:50 Carthay Circle and the 6:50 Blue Bayou. When we arrived, I asked her if she was very familiar with Blue Bayou and she got really excited! I think I underestimated how familiar with Disney she is, turns out she is a big fan! So I told her about the reservations, and that it would mean missing World of Color, and said we can play it by ear.

We started off in Disneyland of course, got in a bit after opening at 9:45 am and hit a lot of good rides! (Astro Blasters, BTMRR, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Alice, a few others I think) Started to get pretty hungry around 12:30, so we decided to forego the lunch reservation at Carthay Circle and just get some Quick Service. We park hopped over to DCA and ate at Cocina Cucamonga, had a few beers and just relaxed for awhile. We Fastpassed Soarin, rode Single Rider on RSR, and hit some other small rides like the swings, little mermaid, and Monsters Inc. There were a few other beers had as well! :drinking1

We hopped back to Disneyland around 6 or so, got a ride on Star Tours and used a FP for Space Mountain before heading to... Blue Bayou!!!! And gosh that meal was just amazing. She loved it! We both had the mushroom entree, and I really think that is one of my favorite meals I have ever had!!! We ended the night with a few Fantasyland attractions(might have done a few others as well but I just can't remember), dole whip, and my friend had FOUR churros!!! We left the park around 10:30 pm.

We did end up missing a few big rides like TSMM, California screamin, Matterhorn, and Splash Mountain (and Indy but that was closed :sad1:), but all in all I feel it was a productive and most of all FUN day :flower1:
And hey, missing rides just means she has an excuse to come visit again :cutie:

Glad you and your friend had a good trip! I'm pretty sure that my husband one day spent $50 on churros back when they were $2 and change....so 4 churros doesn't seem like a whole lot. ;)

I think your husband and I would be fast friends.
