Hey I need a quick answer- looking to buy an entertainment book it's on sale, mainly want car rental codes to try and save..... is it worth it? and are the codes national? i.e.- if I buy one for my locale, can I use the car rental codes no matter where we travel? thanks so much!

Is the car rental code in the booklet really good?
There's a lot of sites out there that offer rental codes, and you don't have to pay for the cost of the book. I use ebates a lot, which gives you a % back on your purchase, coupled with retailmenot, which many times provides discount codes.
You can also google discount codes for a particular rental agency.

To answer your last question, if the rental company is "national" then you can probably use the code anywhere, not just the locale of where you are purchasing the entertainment book.

I would like to mention if you buy the 2011 book the car rental coupons are good for a year and a half so they will be good till June 2012

Can you look at the book and see if it says good at certain location? I have run into that. But it was for restraunts not car rentals.

I have the book and have gotten it for years. The car rental coupons are national, and don't expire till June of 2012.

As far as the discount, they're pretty comparable to the ones you get from BJs. You don't have to be a BJs member to use their discounts - you just need to have one of their travel brochures with the coupons in it. These are available at all the clubs, as usually on a rack under the big sign with the current vacation deals.

Don't buy the book just for that, I have one in my car and I'll take a look at it after work. If they're national, I'll send you a PM of what's in there and if you want any of the coupons, I'll send them to you.

On the other hand, I've used the heck out of mine for "buy one, get one" deals at Subway... so if there are other things you might use, go for it... this is a great time of year because the books go half-price or better...

i tried many codes for lots of different car rental companies but found Priceline was much cheaper. I bid and won a mid size car for $10 a day from National Car rental at the MCO terminal. The fees Priceline charged were MUCH cheaper than booking direct. IMO it was a great bargain :)

if your just looking for car rentals.... if your a member of sams or bjs try their website we have had some really good deals on rental cars

Thanks Zoehn....:thumbsup2 I don't know if I'd use the other coupons, tho we have in the past- my big problem is it's not for MCO- this is for our DisneyLand trip....which means p/u at one airport, drop off at another, and the prices are MUCH hiher than orlando....so I'm needing discounts in a bit way!:goodvibes
thanks for the advice.....

Happy to send you any/all of the above. If you want any of them, send me a PM and I can mail them to you. We're not going to need a rental car any time in the foreseeable future, and as a PP said, these are good til next June.
