QUICK HELP!!!!! Too much wine!

Hi all....
I made a chicken marsala crock pot recipe and it has a VERY STRONG marsala flavor...how can I tone it down???
This is the recipe....

chicken breast
can cr of mushroom soup
can full of marsala wine
onion chopped
salt
pepper
garlic powder
mushrooms
 
Oh no! That's my recipe;) Maybe you can add another can of soup? I would heat it up first and mix it in. I hope you can save it. We like it...maybe I just like wine too much:rotfl:
 
Maybe just add some water, and then thicken it as needed?

LOL.....I think its because I dont like wine too much. I only have a can of cr of chicken soup would that do????
 

I'll drink it, oops, I meant eat it!

Add a cup of hot water/broth with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in it. Then leave the crockpot on med for an extra 1/2 hour to let it thicken.
 
Sorry, make sure the cornstarch is fully dissolved in the water/broth before adding or else you'll get white clumps.
 
If you don't have plain chicken broth or stock then I would do what the PP did and add some water with dissolved cornstarch in it and let it get up to a simmer. If you are home now, at this point, it might be easier to put it in a pot on the stove top and do it that way. I wonder if the marsala didn't simmer out enough ...

I never cook with cr. of chicken soup so I am not sure but I think that flavor will completely alter it.
 
Thanks all for the input...i ended up adding some cr of chick soup and it was ok. I think next time I will definetely only use 1/2 the marsala. Im not a wine drinker so I'm not crazy about wine flavor. I do love Marsala sauce though, especially from Carrabba's. Unfortunately this dish did not even compare :confused:
 
Marsala isn't necessarily a cream sauce which is why it didn't taste even close.
