Want to purchase today for our trip starting Sat. Is that counted with the three days advanced purchase? If purchased today, would it start Sat or Sun?

I called and they said purchasing today at the discounted price would mean the three day window would be up Saturday so it would start Saturday the first day of our trip. Can anyone confirm that? I'll be quite upset if he was wrong and it starts Sunday...
