I saw the Travelzoo deal for the Quality Inn Plaza at 9000 International Drive for $39.00 per weeknight...http://www.travelzoo.com/hotels/orlando/862875/

I called and I have a room on hold for 24 hours. I'm wondering if anyone can give me any insight on staying at this hotel? We're going to Fl for a week in November and have tickets for US/IOA (our first time at these parks) so basically we were thinking that we only needed a room for sleeping mainly. We have friends also going that are staying at HRH on Universal property but we just can't handle that financially right now so we opted to stay off-site. Anyone had any experience with this hotel?

The other question I have is that we can also stay at the Holiday Inn Main Gate on Kirkman Road for only $147.00 more for the entire stay of 7 nights and I'm wondering which would be best...Quality Inn Plaza or Holiday Inn Main Gate! :confused3

We will be driving so we will have a vehicle. Any and all help would be so greatly appreciated!! TIA :)

Have not been there, but what a great price. Orlando is competative enough I bet it will be great.

I would suggest reading through tripadvisor also if you haven't done that already :). I looked up the Quality Inn and it seemed to get good enough reviews, especially for the great rate you've gotten. Some mixed reviews......but overall it looked just fine. Have fun!

Thanks everyone! I have looked at tripadvisor for reviews; are there any other sites to look for reviews? I know the Holiday Inn Main Gate is also being renovated so now the thing is do we want to pay more to stay closer? Also, I think the Holiday Inn has free breakfast whereas Quality Inn Plaza does not (at least not that I can see).

I would check travelzoo again because i know that had awesome rates for some Marriotts that close to US. I got deal on travelzoo for Residance Inn for 49.00 dollars a night and get excellent reviews.

It must be gone because I've looked and cannot seem to find it but thanks for the tip anyway!

We stayed there for 3 nights in April. The rooms have been renovated since our last stay there. We would stay again, very good locations, clean rooms, you can walk to quite a few places, the I-ride stops right out ront if you don't want to drive. Never ate in the rest., as there are many choices within walking distance.

You are speaking of the Quality Inn Plaza right? Just wanted to make sure because someone had posted about the Residence Inn and wasn't sure.

thanks for posting! I think we are going to keep this room at the Quality Inn. Their cancellation policy is 24 hours so that's great too just in case I see a different deal somewhere else that offers free breakfast! :goodvibes

Yest it is the Quality Inn Plaza, We ask for a room in building 1 or 2, poolside. The back side faces the I-4 and can be noisy. Beds are double, not queens. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker are included.

Thanks so much for posting! I'm assuming the building that you requested (1 or 2) is not the back side and does not face I-4. Was it noisy poolside and what kind of view did you have from your room? Not that we'll be in the room much but just wondering :goodvibes . Did you use the I-ride? If so, do you remember how many times a day it ran?

All of the buildings are facing either the I-4 or or I-drive. We requested building 1 or 2 with a pool view and got them both times. Not a lot of noise from the pool, there are 3 of them. Seems a lot of families stay here. we bought I-ride passes but haven't used them the past couple of trips. they seem to run every 15 minutes or so, sometimes sooner. You can get on and off as many times as you want with a pass, very inexpensive if you don't want to drive. Lots of places to eat and shop on the route.
