My family and I decided at the (sort of) last minute to head to Chincoteague VA for the long Columbus day weekend. Unfortunately every hotel is booked. Not a single room available. In fact the nice folks at the Comfort Inn said they could take our reservation but that they are already overbooked so we wouldn't have a room once we got there anyway. (Why let people book if there are no rooms 
) Well, now we have the time off but no place to go. Help! We live in Southern NJ and I don't want to drive more than 3 or 3 1/2 hours. We can stay from Friday evening to Monday. It will be my dh, my 7 yr old dd and the 2 yr old and myself. We just want something laid back. Plus, I don't want to spend a ton of $$, the VA trip would have been pretty cheap so we don't have a huge budget.
I know that many of you have been to places that I have never heard of so I was hoping you could help me out. Thanks!!!!
