Quick food questions

Looking at a lot of quick service menus I see most places in both disney and universal offer pb and jelly sandwiches for children. Can I assume, that, as a lot of children are allergic to nuts they can make just a jelly sandwich? I wasn't sure if the sandwiches were pre made and shipped in or made there? It seems strange that the only offer of a sandwich for kids is one with peanut butter (Urgh! ) does anyone know if you can just get jelly?

The ones I've seen are the pre-made type... but it might differ in different venues? I found it a weird choice because peanut butter is horrible!

i believe the PB&J are all "uncrustables" - so prepackaged (from smuckers).
But i think there are other children's foods on offer at counter service locations.
don't they usually have chicken nuggets, hot dogs, etc?

Theo won't want a hot meal 3 times a day, he's super fussy and I don't think he'll want chicken nuggets twice a day for 3 weeks so was hoping they would do non pb sandwiches! it's my understanding that kids with nut allergies have to have quarantined food - it can't come into contact with anything that even had the hint of nuts. So i don't know how they provide food for them at all.

when our kids were little, i made sandwiches for them in the hotel room and brought them with me into the park.

but as it happens, i actually made them PB&J sandwiches (just not the expensive uncrustables)

are you only going to be eating counter service food? no table service? buffets have a much wider variety.

i'm trying to think about what else might be offered.

perhaps you should post a question on the restaurant board. Maybe they'll know there about alternatives available?

You may also find turkey sandwiches on kids menus. Anywhere that makes sandwiches eg earl of sandwich will do a bespoke one. Or take a small cool bag with your own. My DD likes wraps. I used to make a ham and cheese wrap freeze it and pop it in a cool bag. By lunchtime it was edible but no risk of food poisoning. Wraps don't take up much room or squash.

Quite a few places have turkey sandwich which is on goldfish bread - DD loves them.

They usually have turkey, slice of cheese, lettuce leaf and tomato slice.

All qs places as well as restaurants will work with your child's allergies, you can email disney before hand and they will get a chef to talk to you, or you can just note the allergy on the adr booking and a chef will great you when your seated.

As for qs they do have some pre packaged foods that are peanut allergy free.

Disney are actually amazing when working with allergies and intolerances.
