quick - flip flops on rides?

We're leaving today - can anyone tell me quickly, can you wear flip flops on the rollercoasters, or do they make you take them off because they can fall off? If the latter, does that work out ok, or do you need to wear sneakers or some other more secure shoes to the park? My DD teens weren't planning on bringing anything to wear but flip flops...

You need to take them off and sit on them. The only ride that you can leave your stuff is Dr. Doom.

You are Required to wear them at Rockit. On Hulk, they're usually safe, or you can sit on them. You must sit on them or "wear them on your hands" at Dragons. You'll probably want to do the same for Forbidden Journey. For Doctor Doom, just let them fall off your feet once you're in the harness.
