How far in advance can you purchase the express pass for a particular date. Let's Say we want the expess pass for Oct 1st when can you purchase them in advance.

Unless you're going during a very busy time, it's not recommended to purchase ahead of time. Express Plus passes are non-refundable and date specific. If something happens and you can't go that day, you're out the money. Historically October is not a busy time but WWoHP will bring in the crowds. We just don't know how the crowds will affect the rest of IOA and the Studios.

If you're insistant on purchasing the EP for a certain date, check the website...you should be able to purchase for any date this year.

thank you for your advice. I didn't think about it that way. As far as the express plus passes go can you purchase them anywhere in the park or do you have to do it at the front gate?

They can be purchased either at the gate or at any number of stores throughout both parks. I wouldn't buy them at the gate especially if you already have your tickets. No sense standing in line when you don't have to. But..if you need to purchase the park tickets, you can purchase the EP at the same time.
