Hi, I have planned a whole day for Epcot and a whole day for Hollywood Studios. I have planned a split day for both, later on in our holiday. On this split day I am planning lunch at Beaches and Cream, which I have been told is walking distance from Epcot, then HS after lunch. So my question is this: if I park in Epcot car park, visit Epcot in the morning until our lunch ADR, go to beaches and cream, then get bus to HS, how far is it to get back to Epcot for the car? Am I better off going back to car after beaches and cream, and driving to HS? TIA

I would park where you want to end the day. DHS in this case. From DHS you can take a boat to Epcot and enter through the International Gateway.

You can't get a bus to DHS, you will either walk or take the boat.

Getting back to Epcot will be difficult if it is closed. The smartest plan would be to park at DHS in the morning and either walk, take the boat or take the bus to Epcot to start your day.

Beaches & Cream is just a 5 minute walk (to the Beach Club resort) after exiting through the International gate.

There are no buses from BC to HS. Your transportation options are boat or by foot (a nice walking path to HS). Here's my suggestion FWIW - after Beaches & Cream walk off your lunch by taking the 20-25 minute stroll to HS. Then, after spending the afternoon/evening in HS take a nice relaxing boat ride back to Epcot and walk through the park to get back to your car.

This will only work if you will get back to Epcot before it closes. If you're planning on leaving DHS by 8:15, it's a good plan.

Yup, agreed. I wasn't taking the park closing times into account. If OP is planning to stay at HS until closing (or close to) then I'd go by what you suggested - parking at HS and walking/taking the boat to Epcot to start the morning.

Just checked closing times. Epcot close at 9pm and HS at 830pm, so guess best bet would be to do HS in the morning and Epcot after. So, if I park at Epcot, can I get a boat to HS. Where do I get that from? Then return to Epcot (by boat?) Walk to beaches and cream, then return to Epcot to finish off the day. Thanks in advance :)

It's very easy, but the only caveat is that you won't get to HS for rope drop if that is important to you. You'll enter Epcot through the front gate at 9:00am opening (unless it has EMH that morning) and walk to the other end, where you'll exit through the International gate and jump into a boat there. The boat will make a few stops (BW, BC/YC, Swan/Dolphin) then head to HS.

When coming back get off at the BC/YC as Beaches & Cream is in the Beach Club.

I'd still be tempted to park in the HS lot regardless- it's not that bad a walk/ride back from Epcot at the end of the night (and I'd consider what nightime events are occurring (F!, Illuminations, etc.).

It's about a 15 minute walk, and boats are available.

You'd have to get there a bit early to make Epcot RD through the IG, but doable.

Nope. If you park at Epcot and go through Epcot to DHS,
You will have to go through bag check and turnstiles and then walk through future world and England to get to the boat.

My recommendation is to end your day at DHS as you originally planned. Parking at DHS in the morning.

The boat from DHS to Epcot does not require bag check or turnstiles.

You will lose 30 minutes of park time by ending your night at DHS.

But you will WASTE more then 30 minutes of park time and lots of energy by parking at Epcot and marching through to the international gateway to get the boat to DHS

Right. Trying to make sure I get this right, the easiest way possible.

Park at HS. Get boat from car park? To Epcot. Tour Epcot. Leave Epcot through international Gate by UK and take boat to beaches and cream. After lunch, return by boat (or walk) to HS, and finish day in HS.

have I got that right? Also, my ADR is 1:50pm, what time should I be aiming to be there to catch the boat? TIA (AGAIN!)

If all members of your party are fit, its likely quicker to walk from the international gateway to the Beach Club than it is to take the boat, but the boat may provide a nice respite.

so, be on the boat by 120pm.

Have I got this ^ right? Thanks again :)

I got confused reading through this, but I just wanted to say there's also a bus between the two parks, if that helps at any stage of the day.

Here are the steps I would follow.

1. Park at DHS
2. Boat or walk to Epcot, enter through IG
3. Leave Epcot through IG to get to Beach Club. I would walk. It's usually faster than taking the boat (less than 10 minute walk)
4. Boat or walk to DHS (again, it's faster to walk, probably about 20 min).

Make sense?
