Quick dues question

Do the dues pay for the upcoming year, or the year that just passed? In other works, does 2020’s dues pay for 2019 or 2020? I’m asking because we closed in December (back dated to Oct use year), and our 2020 dues statement shows $0 due. Thnx!

The dues you pay are the estimated total for the upcoming year, meaning dues are due now for all of 2020. Check what you are actually looking at. When you go to that statement page to find your dues statement, the first thing it shows you is the 2019 dues, not 2020,and you need to choose 2020 in the applicable year box.

Remember, too, that if you do debit from your bank account, the January dues aren't taken out until Jan 15 instead of Jan 1.

You must be taking about Riveria. I saw that on mine too but when I went through and looked at my auto debit, it’s set correctly. I think that is supposed to be the 2019 is now $0.

I'm actually in the same boat as OP. Bought RIV in December, my dues are now showing as $0 for 2020 (all my other contracts are showing normal dues amounts). I pay annually, not monthly, so I'll have to figure this out. Maybe it just has to do with processing the new purchase? I suppose I'll wait another week and then call MS if nothing's changed.

Did you sign and return papers yet? If it hasn’t closed and been recorded, it won’t show up until that happens because you can’t be billed until your owner status is official,,,and that only happens when the contract closes.

Yes, in fact we actually just got our copies of the signed documents returned to us a couple of days ago.

I am having the same issue. We were in WDW in October and decided to buy, but didn’t close until mid December. We have already placed one call to Member Services about our missing dues info and they said it was just a result of timing; but I am growing skeptical. I also don’t see any way to select different years (is 2020 instead of 2019).

While they are due on January 15th, they give a grace period until Feb 15th to pay, if you are paying all at once,

I would t worry too much yet,
