quick drying clothes for wet rides

I found the best shorts a couple of trips ago!

They're lightweight, comfortable, cool, quick-drying, and work great at WDW! They hit your leg a couple of inches above the knee (a really good length, not too short) and even have a couple of cargo pockets. And, even better, you can easily wash them out in the bathroom sink at night and they're dry by morning! They would also be great on "wet" rides like Splash or Kali. I can't say enough good things about them!

For tops that would be quick-drying, Target carries Champion brand t-shirts in their athletic-wear section. They're moisture-wicking shirts means for runners, and I think they would be good for WDW, too. Champion also makes moisture-wicking socks (the "footie" kind) if you wear sneakers. Much cooler than regular socks.

Living in Miami with the almost year round heat my wardrobe everyday consists more and more of strictly dry fit clothing.Dry fit shirts came out first and recently more and more board short companies are adding what they call amphibian style of shorts which are board shorts but with zippers and buttons with pockets, basically you can wear them in and out of water and they dry quickly.I can't see myself wearing jeans or jean shorts or thick cargo shorts ever again except maybe in cold weather.

I live in workout clothes and always opt for the quick drying, moisture wicking, polyester ones. I like the high end brands like Lululemon, Nike and Under Armour. However, I have had great success finding bottoms at Marshall's and TJ Maxx. I just go to my size in their active wear section and they have a wide variety of colors and styles and are pretty inexpensive. They always have different stuff.

Stay away from cotton. They make towels out of it because it absorbs water...and then stays wet for hours. Avoid cotton underwear, too. Stick to synthetic fabrics in medium colors -- black and navy are HOT in that intense Florida sun.

Best yet, take a few steps to keep from getting too wet. Carry a few paper towels in your bag. Put one in your hand before you board a ride like Splash Mtn, so you can quickly dry the bench before you sit down. Also, a cheapo $1 rain poncho will keep you from getting soaked on Kali River Rapids or in a downpour.
