Hi all!

Just back from a nice getaway with my DH. The weekend was great overall with a couple of annoyances due to inconsiderate people but great nonetheless...

Friday: arrived midafternoon and was starving from all the traveling! Grabbed a quick bite at the hotel food court- POFQ- shared a meatball sub and bought 2 refillable mugs..

The sub was pretty good- a bit messy for us to share- total bill 33.40 (mugs was the main expense at 11.99 ea!)

Headed over to MK and just soaked up the Disney feeling  Had a quick snack before watching Wishes- I had a sweet cream cheese pretzel from Scuttles Landing which was alright but for 3.99 I probably wouldn't get one again....DH had a funnel cake which was the usual yummy!

After Wishes we went to Downtown Disney- grabbed sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich-YUM!! I had Hawaiin BBQ sandwich( bbq ham, pineapple bits, melted cheese, bbq sauce) and DH had a Beef n Bleu (roast beef, bleu cheese)- a beer, cole slaw, bag chips, Earl's lemonade (iced tea and lemonade- very good) total $18.72- very reasonable and a new favorite!! :flower:

Saturday- breakfast @ Rain forest Cafe at AK- 8:30 PS and service was quick but it was filling up quickly. A very good meal. Dh had steak and eggs and I had the eggs Benedict. We were very happy and full afterwards. My only complaint is how the waiters/waitress don't bring you your food out when it is ready. The people tend to drop your meal and run. We had to catch our waitress to get an OJ and ketchup... With Safari Club discount total bill was $34.65. Definately would go again....oh, yucky coffee....

Lunch was at Epcot Electric Umbrella- we shared chicken strips, each had a side of pineapple cole slaw and shared a drink- total bill $11.89. Good counter service. bit of trouble with the birds- the little hawk recording doesn't keep away the big birds :goodvibes

Dinner- we traveled over to Shades of Green for the buffet. We stayed there in December and the buffet is pretty good and reasonably priced. 2 adults buffets, 2 mixed drinks ran us about $35.00. Food was good-

Sunday- breakfast at the food court- Dh had pancakes, I had a breakfast croissant sandwich. Food was alright- wouldnt want it every morning... total cost about $11.00.

Lunch at Downtown Disney- Wolfgang Puck Express- very good- we ate outside around the heaters :sunny: DH had chicken tenders again ( not very adventerous) but commented the fries were excellant. I had the mac n cheese- YUM! Mango iced tea was great also- overall another new favorite! total bill 19.85

Dinner at POFQ before the playoff game :flower1: we each got BBQ ribs with mashed potatoes and corn. came with cornbread. Meal was better than expected! $20.00 total bill. would have again!

Well, that about covers it! I hope it helps some of you with your dining options! Don't forget to get a Ghiradelli hot chocolate!
