Hi All, Just back and wanted to give a quick review of our dinners. We were on the DDP.

Crystal Palace- Food was good, place was really crowded and confusing. We were a party of 9 and we were crunched in at one table. Prime rib was tasty as were the mashed potatoes. Kids liked just your basic make your own Sundae! Over all give this restaurant a B- Probably won't be back because it didn't "wow" us too much. Great location in the MK though!

Boma at AKL - Another SoSo meal. We knew we were taking a chance because the buffet just offered different kinds of things, most of which we couldn't pronounce!:rotfl: Kids ate Prime Rib and some roasted chicken off the main buffet. The kids choices didn't look too appetizing for them so we were able to find some things on the adult buffet. They did have yummy corn on the cob for the kids. The salad was lacking for me only because I am a Ceasar or Ranch kinda girl. But DH said the dressing offered was good and he enjoyed it. He also loved the seafood gumbo soup! The deserts were not a big hit for us because it is mostly cookies and cakes. However the best desert I had all week was the Banana Bread Pudding with Vanilla sauce! OH MY! Excellent! I would only come back to Boma for that one desert. Everthing else was just so so in choices. But I will say that what we did eat was good. Another B rating. Oh one thing, My Children loved seeing the resort and we did go out and see the animals from the general viewing area. Very neat! The resort was too dark for our tastes, but we were very glad we went and saw the resort and animals!

Le Cellier - Lets just say this was the BEST meal all week. I mean really, really good. We had a fantastic Waiter named Patrick and I believe I had read about him on the DIS. Very friendly and funny with the kids. He even got my son to try his Cheddar Cheese Soup by dipping it with the Pretzel bread. The Pretzel bread is to die for! Delicious! DH and I both got the Barbecue glazed 7oz Filet. It was perfectly cooked over cream cheese mashed potatoes. There was not a inch of food on our plates. I got the Ceasar Salad which was heveanly- also ate the whole blame thing! DH got the Cheddar Cheese soup, and both children got the soup. I knew my DS wouldn't eat the soup so I snacked on it as well. He didn't really want the Celery or Carrot sticks, and hey it was vacation, so I didn't make him! He did get the child's sirloin, which was also delicious steak! My DD opted for a hot dog, which she said was delicious! The kids got the Make your own Sundae desert and because DH and I had stuffed ourselves with out meal, we opted out of desert. But since we were on the DDP our waiter brought us the Chocolate Cake in a box and told us to eat it for breakfast!
A++ Really a great meal and experience. We will definitely be back again.

Kona Cafe: Overall the food was good. We just ended up with a bad server which kinda dissappointed us. I was surprised by the atmosphere, which really is more of an open air cafe just off the doors to the Monorail. I guess I was expecting more of a closed in restaurant. DH and I both got the Filet and it was very good with the mashed potatoes. I always like a Salad, but they only had a salad with Blue Cheese on it and I hate Blue Cheese. She did bring me the salad without the Blue Cheese, but she said there were no other dressings for me to put on my salad. When my DD's salad appitizer came with Ranch, I asked to get that but the waitress took so long, I ended up eating half my salad without a dressing. For Desert we got a Kona Kone for DH and myself to share with the kids. My DS had opted for a meal with Chicken strip and included Fruit as his desert. He was not happy so we went ahead and ordered the Kona Kone for all of us to share since his sister was able to get a Make your own Sundae with her choice of a hamburger. The kids meal thing was kinda annoying! Overall the restraunt was a B+. The food was good, the atmosphere and service and choices for the kids were very lacking.

The Plaza: Loved having this simple meal. DH got the Rueben and said it was great. I got the Plaza Club and thought it was very tasty and very big! Their French Fries were very good here and my DH thought the German Potato salad was good, but not great. Kids got the Grilled Cheese and were thrilled to have that choice finally at a Restaurant. They were happy then with the Mickeylodeon desert which was basically sherbert in a bowl with a cone upside down. It was good! The atmosphere was great because we sat down at the windows just as the Fireworks were going off. It was magical as our last sit down meal! I give this experience a A.

Hope this helps. Let me know if anyone has any questions!

Thanks for your reviews. Glad you liked LeCellier and Plaza--two of our MUST DOS every year we go. Sorry you weren't wowed by Crystal Palace--it is our favorite character meal, but we always do the breakfast and have never tried the dinner.

Thanks for the reviews. Just wondering what time were you at Crystal Palace?

Our Ressies were at 4:30pm and we had to wait about 15 minutes. It was crowded, but keep in mind we were there the Sunday night of Veterans weekend. That night was EMH at MK too so it was a crowded park! Hope that helps! We did get to see all the characters and they were good with the kids.

Thanks for the reviews - we really enjoy the Plaza for simple but tasty food :thumbsup2

Ohhhh, thanks for mentioning the Plaza, I just checked out their menu and I'm sure we'll hit that one. Thanks again!
