We just got back last night and had a great time. Very small crowds and amazing weather! We were on the DDP with 2 adults and 2 kids. I did take pictures which I hope to have ready by the weekend. I'll be reviewing:
TS
Chef Mickey's, Le Cellier, Ohana, Mama Melrose, Coral Reef, LTT, Crystal Palace
CS
POFQ food court, Sunshine Seasons, Casey's, Columbia Harbour House, Pizza Planet, Flame Tree BBQ, Dole Whips
Ok, here goes:
4/30 This was our first night so we headed to Chef Mickey's for our 6:35pm ADR for dinner. We did this last year and enjoyed it - this time not so much. They seated us by the kitchen and we didn't have a good view of anything. The food was just ok. It seems like there was more to choose from last year. We had a few salads, the prime rib, and the parmesan mashed potatoes. Believe me, you will not leave hungry. The character interaction was pretty good and the kids got all the autographs.
5/1 - this was our first full day. We had a quick breakfast at the POFQ food court then went to Epcot for rope drop. We had lunch at Sunshine Seasons. I had the chicken caesar salad which was great, my dh had some asian stuff which he said was just ok, DS 6 had mac and cheese and some of my salad, and DS 5 had a turkey sandwich which he gobbled up every last drop. We were pretty hungry at that point.
For dinner we had ADRs at Le Cellier for 5:50pm. We were seated within 10 minutes (I think we checked in a bit early). We all LOVED this place. We had the cheddar cheese soup with the pretzel bread which was to die for. Dh got the caesar salad for an appetizer and it was one of the best he's ever had. Then I had the mushroom filet, dh had the NY strip with a side of baked mac and cheese. It was all fantastic! DS 6 had the grilled steak, and DS 5 had ummmm...can't remember. Pizza maybe?? He pretty much had that everywhere...For desert, I had the smores and DH had the creme brulee. Everything was wonder and we will definetely be back. Oh, we also got the glowtinies which we loved.
5/2 CHH lunch in Liberty Square. I had the Lighthouse Sandwich (with hummus), dh had the Anchors Away (with tuna). It was pretty good but I'd rather we did Peco's Bill. We went to the P&PP that night and had dinner at Casey's. We all had the hot dogs and fries and they were realllly good. We also had dole whips for desert and you can never go wrong with them.
5/3 - Ohana dinner - this was by far our favorite meal of the trip. What a feast! The salad was yummy, the sticky wings were awesome, did not care for the dumplings. The noodles was fantastic and so were the meats. Very tender and great with the dipping sauces. The desert was the best of the whole trip. It was the pineapple bread pudding and all I can say is OMG!
Will post more later. I'll be happy to answer any questions.
