Quick castle question

I have a friend just insisting to me that you can spend the night in the castle. I know that it has the room upstairs, but I don't think just anyone can stay there. Can someone help me out with this. She is telling her 3 year old daughter they are going to stay in the castle. Also, if I'm mostly wrong, and they can do this, what is the approx cost. Thanks!

Your friend is wrong. A few years ago they had a promotion and each day a family was selected to stay in the castle overnight, but it's not something people can book and pay for.

Thank you, that's what I thought, and have tried to tell her. She is so insistent that I wanted to be sure I wasn't wrong. I told her to ask her TA but you know how that goes...

If they did allow people to book that, the rate would make the high-season rack rates for any WDW deluxe resort seem cheap!!

Not hard to imagine the confusion. I can't tell you how many people insist Universal/Harry Potter is party of WDW.
