BlueZoo - there were 5 of us at BZ. I had the scallops for my app and swordfish for my dinner. The scallops were incredible. They just melted and were totally unbelievable. The swordfish was okay. It came with a side of paella that outstanding. My colleague tried my swordfish and said it was really good. I never had it before and probably won't again, just not my thing. It was not bad just nothing amazing for me. Everyone else raved about their meals. My one colleague (who will be present at each dinner) said it was her favorite out of all.

California Grill - this is my MUST DO place! I love Cali Grill and once again it did not disappoint. We got their early and expected a long wait. We got settled at the bar and had a great time with Dennis trying to decide on wines. He was a lot of fun and just as we selected we were seated. We started with an assortment of sushi that was to die for! Everyone throughly enjoyed the sushi. There were 5 of us again but the 5th person was different this night. I had the tenderloin in polenta because its my must do dish. I let everyone have a taste and everyone agreed it was pretty good. I had the cheese plate for my desert and enjoyed it emensly.

Jiko - I have been dying to try Jiko for some time now. I've had ADRs here before and always had to cancel. We had a company dinner scheduled which my one friend and I could not make because of timing. We debated not going but both really wanted to try it so we made later ADRs for just the two of us. I had read asking to sit at the bar where they prep food so we did. Great spot for a more casual seating. The atmosphere in the dining room is beautiful. I was a bit hesitant as it is so close to Boma that it would be as noisy but it was not at all. We talked to the chefs at the prep table and got into a conversation with the couple next to us. We had a glass of wine at the bar prior to being seated that was outstanding. It was a Syrah. Once seated we wanted to try different wines as I am not familiar with South Africian. Unfortunately they do not have a wine flight. I would have really enjoyed sampling different wines with the foods but no. Our waiter did allow us to try 2 different wines that were both very good but we decided to get a bottle of the first wine because it was just so outstanding! We ordered the taste of africa to share as a starter. WOW. Definately give this a try. I got the cheese plate and my friend got the watermellon salad. My cheese was okay but it is all goats milk cheese, it was good but not as good as CG. My friend did not like her salad. I got the scallops for my entree and she got the ahi tuna. My scallops were good but the sauce it was in was a bit spicy for me. My friend was not really hungry and said her tuna was okay but didn't like the seasoning of the beans so we switched! And we were both thrilled! I thought the flavors of the beans and tuna were the most amazing flavors I have ever eaten. I have to say Jiko is now my MUST DO! I loved the atmosphere and the food. Our server was a bit off but he was not bad, just not really attentive or caring and a bit slow.
