I have never been and now have finally scored an adr for our December trip .... took me weeks! Now I am worried about one thing .... does every ressie get you a table with someone cooking or are some out of the way? Thanks .....

Teppan Edo has only the hibachi style tables.

All ressies are for a table with a chef cooking right there for you. :thumbsup2

I think there are 8 to a table. (Someone will correct me if my memory is off.) Two on each end and four opposite the side where the chef is doing the cooking. If your group is less than 8, you will be seated with others. It is usually just me and DD15, so we're always seated with other groups. We have met some really fantastic people at Teppan Edo. I think some people are surprised that you're seated with another party (or parties), so I just wanted to make you aware of that.

This is true. However, if your party is 5 or 6, you could possibly get a table to yourself, depending on whether they have others waiting who can fill up the 8 seats.

We tried this in April, and Teppan Edo is now one of our favorite restaurants.

Thanks you everyone! That solves one big adr question. And thank you for the info about sharing a table - I had no idea and think it will be great fun!

It is fun. Happy to help. I remember one time we were there, the Loud Family was in the lobby and DD and I just kept hoping we wouldn't be seated with them. It was mom, dad, 2 obnoxious kids and grandparents. No one had any control over anyone and they just kept talking over each other. Fortunately, we were spared and were seated with a lovely family there celebrating their oldest daughter's college graduation. The younger daughters were twins my DD's age. The college aged daughter had excel spreadsheets for their ADRs and other activities, so we knew we were with like-minded Disney freaks.

We ate there for the first time last week. We met friends for dinner, and were a party of 7 with our own table. If you have young kids, they will ask you to seat the kids at the end of the table so they aren't too close to the hot grill. The food was good and we all enjoyed having dinner there!

LOVE LOVE TEppan Edo !

I think they are seats of 9 ???

Might be more...

Hugs

We had fun, and the kids at our table had fun.

We ate there last December and the food was cooked perfectly on the hibachi and adequately portioned. We had:

Apps
Edamame -- DD5 ate almost the entire bowl and it was a good size
Tempura -- lightly fried, very good, not heavy

Entree
Ebi (shrimp) -- nice flavor, always entertaining on a hibachi
filet mignon -- DH enjoyed cooked as ordered
chicken -- DD5, she also loved the rice, but wouldn't eat the veggies so I finished those!

Dessert:
Chocolate Ginger cake -- just ok
Green Tea pudding -- much better than I expected!

I do have one complaint. It seemed like the steam / smoke from the hibachi was not venting well. Our DD had a hard time with that and coughed almost the entire time. She was fine before we went in and fine within 15 minutes of us being out of there. But, I can't imagine that is a normal problem and we'd certainly give it a try again.

I do agree that the experience can be impacted by your table-mates, if you don't have a large group. The family we sat with was so-so and a little blah and not very interactive with the hibachi chef. But, that's just the luck of the draw and most people have a great experience.

I Love Teppan Edo :lovestruc Its really good and the little ones like to see the chefs cooking. I ate there last trip and loved it so much we made another ressie for another time that week. I def. have a ressie for my next trip.
