Quick 48 hour trip

Hi guys just to see if anyone can confirm , we are driving over Friday am for a 48 hour trip. We will stop as soon as we cross the border to get PCR tests done.
As long as they come back and we do arrive Canada there will be no issues correct with such a short trip and testing immediately upon arrival. ( seems silly but )

Correct, you can go for 5 mins if you want as long as you can get that pesky PCR test in that timeframe.

yep booking at rainbow bridge and paying $$$. It just seems really silly bc we are getting it before we encounter anyone or go anywhere.

It is. When they first reopened the border you had to have a negative PCR test done within the 72 hrs but could do it in Canada before leaving if your trip was less then 72 hrs and I thought that was crazy but I did it and then they lifted the requirement for testing if under 72 hrs, did 2 trips then, and was the best 2.5 weeks and then they changed it again to you have to test in the US. I just wish they would make up their minds and honestly I’m not sure the point of the test if going for less then 72 hrs, no different then going to say the Falls for a weekend.

I drove my daughter back down to her school in Massachusetts last week and I stopped at a Walgreens to test just past the border.
Did my ID NOW pcr test, got back on the road and drove the rest of the way to her school.
I got the results back in about an hour via email.
I left my home on a Saturday morning and returned on the Monday afternoon with no problems.
Make sure you fill out the arrivecan app and have your test results ready to show the officer.
