Quick 2 Questions

I know that I can use an nonexpired ticket from WDW at DL. My first question is to exchange it for the DL ticket do I need to get in line at the gate to DL or do I need get in the ticket line? The second question is if my WDW ticket was a parkhopper will my DL ticket by a parkhopper?

Any information or a point in the right direction would be appreciated.

I am pretty sure (although someone with some actual experience could answer it better) that you go to the entrance gate line and when you get to the gates you tell them that you want to exchange your WDW ticket for a DLR one.

And yes, a WDW park hopper exchanges as a DLR park hopper.
