Queues where I can see the kids waiting

That's funny. My kids have done some rides on their own but not much. Last year at 15 and 14 I thought they'd want to dump old mom and dad and go on their own. No Way. I asked them why? They said: "Dad you are the Disneyland expert, you know exactly where to go when....we wouldn't even know where to start without you."

Of course I owe what I know to the real experts, and these discussion boards....:cool1:
We went on a last famly trip a couple of years ago with our two boys since neither have significant others and at age 23 and 32 we couldn't shake them at all, i think they figured free food😁, and that good old mom is the queen of fastpass timing. Husband and i had to go down the following year by ourselves just to ride things as a couple!

DL - Winnie The Pooh, Small World, Matterhorn, Nemo subs, Autopia?, Dumbo, Tea Cups, Astro Orbiter, Haunted Mansion? (I know you go inside, but doesn't the ride basically start then?)
Not HM, it goes behind the building. Once they enter the "gates", you won't be able to see them. My granddaughter got all excited last Labor Day weekend because we were waiting for Fantasmic! and she said she wanted to ride something. I told her she was 8, go ride HM. Her grin was huge and she took off, then came back a minute later with a glare.... "You knew it was closed...." Autopia would also be a no if you want to see them the whole time.

DCA - Little Mermaid, Incredicoaster (kinda...it's outside but you can't exactly see your specific people the whole time, as I recall), ferris wheel, golden zephyr, swings, the jellyfish, Mater's junkyard, Midway Mania?
Mater's is hard to watch, Swings you can't see while they are on the platform (but I do let DGD do it.)
I assume they’re 7 and up since they specifically stated that they are “now old enough to ride without us.”

My daughter is literally counting down to her 7th birthday this April so she can go on rides without us. She’s already planning on starting with her favorite, GOTG. 😂
My granddaughter simply wanted to ride single rider for a birthday present. We did a VIP tour later that summer. We headed to Matterhorn, her first question "Can I ride SR?" We have a tour! "But I feel grown up riding alone!" Sorry kid....

Same. We have 2 Boys ages 16 and 11, we were excited to go as a family over the holidays when DCA had the food festival. We were thinking kids would ditch us for the rides and we would enjoy the food and drinks. Not a chance. They stuck with us. Mom knows all the tricks and ride maximizing based on this forum!

Gadgets Go Coaster?

Literally the only only one where I could see my son the whole mine without having to move.

Yep, 7 and 9. We did it for the first at WDW this fall and MAN were the CM "strict" about it. They must have been asked 100 times. The kids were so proud to go on some rides on their own - very cute.

Likely would have been fewer questions if each had been alone. With an older and younger they worry that the younger is too young, and it seems that they question ages more.
