Going to DL with my mom, son, and second trimester pregnant wife next week, and I have a question about preshows and queues. Specifically guardians and Indy, is it kosher to go through the queue and the preshow only to opt out at the end before she gets on the ride? She wants to experience as much as she can, and obviously she can't ride, but thought it might be nice for her to still see some of the cooler theming stuff. Thanks!

Absolutely! I can’t ride Guardians but wanted to go through queue. Cast members will see you to the opt-out exit just prior to boarding elevators. Just let them know when you get up to where they ask how many people in your party.

Yes definitely. Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run is another cool queue to walk through. You can ask to exit right before they sort you into groups of six for the ride vehicles, which means she can see the cool parts inside the Millennium Falcon.

Awesome, thanks so much for the info, she feels a lot better about doing it now. Absolutely can't wait for Disneyland.

Oh yes! I forgot that one…very cool walkthrough and then got to go out via elevator and some back hallways…

Is that a risky ride for pregnant women?

I don't see why not. People "chicken out" all the time at these rides so they deal with people waiting in line and then bailing out all the time. And it's a ready made excuse. For something like Guardians, I would specifically recommend going to watch the assorted stuff including the waiting room, but then opting out before boarding the ride vehicles.
