We had a towncar waiting for us at the airport when we went to WDW in Oct. I had pre-paid by cc. This time I will be paying cash. I will have the cash in an envelope.

1. Do I pay him right away when I meet him?

2. Should I hand the driver the envelope or take it out and hand him the money?

3. Do I tip him when I pay him or when he drops us off? I know to tip both ways.

Thanks

I usually wait until the driver asks. Sometimes its before we leave, sometimes its after our bags are out of the car. I let him lead. I've never paid cash except for the tip. When they pick me up on the trip back to the airport I give him his tip when he unloads my bags at the airport. HTH :cool1:

MAKE SURE YOU GET A GOOD receipt if you're paying in cash for the return trip. I'd try to avoid paying cash for the return trip in advance. Good luck getting your money back if they don't show up.

IMHO, pay at your destination, both ways, not in advance. Making your reservations is fine, but pay when services are delivered.

Pay in cash if possible. Tip each way, at your destination, based on service, (however you measure it).

Yes, our driver took our cc. It has been my experience they always ask for payment for the whole booking. I've never even heard that they allow you to pay one way at a time. Anyway, I always pay with my cc, because if they don't show up I can always dispute the payment, with cash its a done deal. JMHO. HTH :cool1:
