Ok, so I have a couple questions, followed by a HUGE favor!!! First off,
1) if you're having a VR, do you have to have the reception there at the location of the ceremony or can you then go to another location for the reception? For instance can you have the ceremony at Sunset Pointe and then go to the Grand for pictures/reception?

2) I read on here by someone that if you're reception is outdoors, you can't/don't want to have the mousse filling. Is this true? That just seems weird to me. :confused3

3) Do you know if you can substitue a flute player for a violinist, or do you have to have the violinist? I know for an additional fee you can add a flute player along with the violinist, but I think DW wants just a flute player.

And now a HUGE favor! I'm trying to find a picture of a cake that I saw and I can't find it now. I just saw it yesterday and for the life of me can't remember where. And before any age jokes start, I'm only 26!!! (Although, that's bad for someone my age.) Anyway.....the cake we saw was a 3 tier white cake with silver mickey heads all over it and each tier was turned 45 degrees, instead of all he same way. Any help would be INCREDIBLY appreciated!!!!!!

I'll try to answer your questions!

1) If you're having an Intimate/Escape wedding, the cake-cutting and dancing take place at the site of the wedding - unless you get married at the Pavillion, in which case you go over to Commander's Terrace at the Grand Floridian for the "reception." You can take pictures at any of the resorts if you hire an outside photographer. Disney may be able to work with you to rearrange the hours you use their photog so you can go to other resorts.

2) I have also heard that if the cake will be outside it can't have mousse in it because it will spoil. But it seems like mousse would be OK at Commander's Terrace and the Sunrise Terrace 'cuz they're in buildings that have refrigerators nearby. At any rate, the buttercream filling is probably just as good!

3) I've heard of brides swapping out the violinist for another musician - like the guitarist - but I don't know whether they were charged exxtra. Seems like it would be a one-to-one trade to me!

Hope that helps a little....
