First of all, could someone give me the fax number of FW, so I can fax in our loop request?

Second, I know I read somewhere that the "preferred" sites are in Loops 100-500, 700, and 1400. Does this mean that those loops are preferred LOOPS, as in only containing preferred sites? Or are there some "non-preferred" sites in them as well? (We did not book a preferred site, so I'm wondering if I can still request one of those loops or if they're "out.")

Edited to ask: Is the 1500 loop ALL partial hookups, or are there some full hookups in that loop as well?

Off to look at a map to figure out which loop I want to request!

Dawn I can't tell you about the other loops but the 1500 loop is totally partial hook up. There no sewer hookup at all in the sites.

If it is specified as preferred, then it is the whole loop. They all have full hook up, it's just that you are in a preferred location and have cable hook up as well. Personally, we prefer the full hook up sites as they are more convenient to the pool and bike barn area. Just our preference.

I am wondering about this also. I booked a partial hook up site and heard from someone on here how they like the 700 loop.it's across from the settlement. we had 300 once and hated it.. (a little far to walk but not far enough to wait for the bus..kind of a pain.) so I called and requested the 700 loop. the CM was a real crab,( asked her if it was CRO and you would have thought I had asked.. well, don't know what, just something really bad!). she said she noted it (couldn't promise yadayada) but I never got anything that would say it was more for the deposit now. not sure why. figure in a little while I'll request again.

As has been stated, a preferred loop has all preferred sites. The things you get with a preferred site are:

  • Cable TV
  • Location (close to the action)
  • All preferred loops are now pet loops

Thanks for the phone numbers and info, Tim!

Jann, that's a bummer that the CM you spoke to was crabby, but as I understand it, when you ask for a particular loop when making reservations, all they can do is "make a note of it." What I have learned (yes, I've done this before -- you wouldn't know it from my questions, LOL) is that the best way to get them to honor a loop request is to FAX it in to FW directly (not WDW reservations) about 3 days before your arrival. As I understand it, that's when they start "assigning" sites. There's still no guarantee, but you're more likely to get what you requested if you do it this way. (See Tim's reply to me for the fax number!)

yes I realize it is only a"request" that isn't decided upon then... she wasn't crabbing about that, she was crabbing about me asking for CRO(, who told me to ask for it, wanted the name rank and serial number of that individual I spoke to last and on and on) so in her blind rage I am not sure if she did request it or not. I assumed I would get something with a change in cost or asking for more deposit or something unless they just do that at check-in incase you do not get it. that is why I was going to fax it in again.
