We are getting closer and closer.... and I thought of these questions last night at 1 am...

1. how many bathing suits do you ladies pack for yourself? I have two but was contemplating to bring one more...

2. When you purchase alcoholic drinks ex. drink of the day.... is gratuity automatically added to your drink and how much?

3. I was looking at deck plans for our FE and am confused because I see three sets of elevators on different floors. Can I walk the entire deck or are there various elevators/stairs that I have to take to get me to certain staterooms. (I really hope this makes sense... as it is needing it to be!)

4. How late can you be to dinner (first seating) because say for example Tianna will be appearing at 5:15pm and your three year old wants to have her picture taken with her?

5. How many of your kids actually make it up to see the Fireworks? 6 and 3 year olds? As well as going into the kid clubs at night.. for example pluto's pajama party... at 9pm.. my girls are in bed each night by 7:15/7:30pm.. Maybe I should let them sleep later before the trip?

6. Is pineapple juice available at the drink stations... in case I want to make a mommy drink? :-)

7. Is there a alcohol drink package that is available or do you just by on a need basis?

New We are getting closer and closer.... and I thought of these questions last night at 1 am...

1. how many bathing suits do you ladies pack for yourself? I have two but was contemplating to bring one more...I'm not sure what you will need as a lady...but as a man I bring at least 3 swim trunks for 7 days.

2. When you purchase alcoholic drinks ex. drink of the day.... is gratuity automatically added to your drink and how much? The tip is added and it is 15%. Just an FYI the cup that the drink of the day comes in can be refilled at a lower cost during the entire 7 days.

3. I was looking at deck plans for our FE and am confused because I see three sets of elevators on different floors. Can I walk the entire deck or are there various elevators/stairs that I have to take to get me to certain staterooms. (I really hope this makes sense... as it is needing it to be!) You can walk the whole deck.

4. How late can you be to dinner (first seating) because say for example Tianna will be appearing at 5:15pm and your three year old wants to have her picture taken with her? I'm not sure of the answer to this question. I would think you would not want to be that late and you should just find a different time to see that character.

As adults we even have a hard time staying up for the fireworks. On our last trip we went back to the room after dinner and took a nap. I set an alarm to wake us up so we could go outside to see the fireworks.

1. I pack two, but I'm not much of a "hanging at the pool" type.
2. As noted, all purchased beverages (not just alcoholic) will have a 15% gratuity added automatically.
3. Most elevators go to all floors. Exceptions on the front bank of elevators.
4. You really shouldn't be late for dinner (in the MDRs), it can delay service for all tables in your servers station,
5. Can't help with this one.
6. No pineapple juice (or any juice, for that matter) in the drink stations. In Cabanas there are a couple of juices available at breakfast (orange, apple, cranberry).

1) two
2) yes, 15%
3) Depends on where you want to go. There are some decks (Deck 1 comes to mind) where you may not be able to access all rooms from all elevator banks.
4) You can be a few minutes late like maybe 5 but don't push it too far, it'll throw off your serving team. Unless you want to let them know that you will be late and they should start without you.
5) Haven't got any kids
6) Nope. I don't even think they have it in the buffet.
7) There are wine packages and there is the beer mug. No spirits packages.

I'll add on a couple notes, since most of your questions have been answered.

2. The automatic bar gratuity goes into a pool and is divided among the bartenders. There is also a space for additional gratuity. Anything you write in there (totally your discretion, of course) goes directly to the bartender who served you. So if you have a particular bartender who has been good to you, you can give him or her a little extra. If you tend to go to the same bar and encounter the same bartender over and over and want to give him or her something extra at the end of the cruise, just ask him/her to run a "zero bill", which is a bar bill with $0 in drinks on it and a $0 15% service charge. You can then fill in the "additional gratuity" space, and they get all of it!

6. They have it at the bars, but you have to pay for it. Same goes for root beer (if you want to make a root beer float using the soft serve...not that I've done that a thousand times :rolleyes1 )

1. 2 suits per person but we don't live in them all day.

4. 5 minutes or so. Get in line 10-15 minutes early to be the first for that character when they switch out and it won't take you long at all. Call the PALS line the night before to get the locations & breakdowns.

5. Kids are on vacation too so schedules go out the window for us. They napped or had quiet time at the movies after 3. They were 3 & 5 for our first cruise before the fireworks started but the tropical deck party still was at the same time. They loved the party & danced with the characters, but the minute we stood in line to get some treats DD3 had a meltdown so DH carried her back to the room.

Thank you all for your great help as always! So helpful! I'll be filling up my tervis cup with orange juice in the morning and keep it in the fridge back in the room for a mommy drink later in the afternoon!

I was also going to order a carafe of coffee every night before bedtime... what kind of creamer do they offer? Flavored like the international creamers?

IF Tiana is on the cruise, she'll be part of the Princess Gathering (the one you need tickets for) so the line for the single photo opp shouldn't be too long. I'd still suggest getting online 10 minutes before the scheduled time. You'll have no problem making dinner on time. Just an FYI - I used the App for the first time and LOVED it. It had the weekly schedule of EVERYTHING including all the princess/character info. Very helpful for planning the week!

You could always just not eat at your MDR that night, too, if you are really concerned about being late/making sure you see a character.

When it comes to swimsuits, I am always in the more is best camp. I think I brought 3 with me to visit my in-laws in AZ and we'll be lucky to go swimming once. I am sure I'll have 4 or 5 with me on the cruise but will probably only end up wearing 2 or 3 of them :)

?..

I was also going to order a carafe of coffee every night before bedtime... what kind of creamer do they offer? Flavored like the international creamers?

I bring my own flavored creamers for coffee. I have never found any on board.

My niece was 2 1/2 on her first cruise and 3 1/2 on her next. I put her down for a nap around 3:00/4:00 pm rather than 1:00 pm. She'd nap til around 7:00 pm, had some dinner and then was good for the Pirate party and fireworks.

Re fireworks- the almost 3 yo never made it for fireworks so he was disappointed the next day but he wasn't going to remember it anyway. He'll be almost 5 this time so there is a better chance he'll see them this go around. 7 and 6 year olds were fine (we r west coasters so they were used to being up "later") and loved it!-- they were disappointed no pirate party in Alaska last year (Pixar party was not as fun for them). Hope ur little ones get to experience the pirate party!

Also, there are usually M&Gs with a couple characters during dinner. It's easy to take the kids out for that because most people are either in the MDR or at the show. Watch the time & you can usually get there and back within 10 minutes. Easier if you are in RC for the ones in the atrium.

1. how many bathing suits do you ladies pack for yourself? I have two but was contemplating to bring one more... I packed 5 or 6, lol.

2. When you purchase alcoholic drinks ex. drink of the day.... is gratuity automatically added to your drink and how much? I never purchased any drinks and just drank the booze we brought

3. I was looking at deck plans for our FE and am confused because I see three sets of elevators on different floors. Can I walk the entire deck or are there various elevators/stairs that I have to take to get me to certain staterooms. (I really hope this makes sense... as it is needing it to be!) You can walk

4. How late can you be to dinner (first seating) because say for example Tianna will be appearing at 5:15pm and your three year old wants to have her picture taken with her? I wouldn't be late... I'd wait for the next time Tiana is out.

My girls were 4 (just turned) and 5. My 5 year old was at the fireworks, my 4 year old wasn't big on the early pirate show so she spent the later one in the kids club and we found her sleeping in there when we went to pick her up.

My 3 and 6 yr Olds normally are in bed at 8pm at home. On vacation the 3 yr old made it to 1030-11 and the six yr old closed down the kids club each night! For DD3 each night an hour before dinner we would come back to the cabin and she would nap. Helped her get through dinner and activities. She fell asleep pirate night during the show but we woke her to see Mickey fly across and she watched the fireworks.

Somehow on vacation everyone adapts to changes!

Sleep is obsolete when you are on vacation anyway... right? One can sleep when our real vacation begins when we are back home!! LOL! Thank you again for all your wonderful help, advice and ideas!

because of the late night and the time change, we all slept until 11 the morning after pirate night. It was AMAZING.

Okay I am so confused. Why do people bring more then one bathing suit?

I'm not judging or anything, I am seriously wondering o.o This is kind of amazingly weird news to me! lol
