My daughter's dance school is heading to WDW next year for a workshop and performance. We are staying at B Resort and Spa which, according to their website, lets you book FPs at 60 days instead of 30. I asked the travel agent about getting the tickets in advance to add to My Disney Experience and she responded that MaxPass only lets you book on day of. I have gone back and said that that is at Disneyland, its FP Plus at WDW, but now I'm concerned we won't be able to book FPs at all.

Has anyone had experience with going with a group on Performing Arts tickets and how that works with FP? Thanks heaps.

When my kids went on a choir trip, they weren’t given the info needed for booking fastpasses until 48 hours before their trip.

This depends on the group. The organizer will receive a list of the ticket "numbers" well before the 60 day mark and CAN assign each student a number and distribute them, but it is up to the organizer.

:scared: I think I'd be more concerned where the TA booked the group if she's telling you rules about DL/DCA (not to mention MaxPass is an add-on costing more)... did she actually book the group to go to Florida?

But PP is correct. It all depends how the coordinator handles things. Some groups actually have a planning session where everybody sets up their own MDE and links their tickets. Other groups hand the kids tickets as they exit the bus at the park on the first day and everybody does same-day FP and schedules for future days at that point. Speak to the representative from the dance school who is coordinating the trip.

Enjoy your vacation!

Thanks all. I suspect they are of the "you will get your tickets on the day" group. That's what happened when we did Disneyland a few years ago, which didn't matter for FPs. Oh well, we'll see how long standby is for Pandora and Toy Story Land then, and hope that people have cancelled FPs last minute :).
