Questions re: North Garden Wing at CR

How long of a walk is it from the North Garden Wing to the Monorail? Also, are there any particular rooms I'd be better off requesting (bay view, room closer to tower, room near pool, first floor vs 2nd or 3rd)? I will be traveling w/dh and 2 dds ages 4 and 6.

It depends which end you're on, but I've never thought that those wings were too long. There are a lot of other hotels where you can be much further from the main building. In fact, you could be further away at either of the other monorail hotels. I've never timed it, but it seems like it would take about 5 minutes or so.
