Questions RE: Disneyland AP room discounts

We are currently AP holders for WDW and are planning a trip to DL next April before the Disney Wonder Repo cruise from LA to Vancouver (and staying on for the 1st Alaskan cruise ) and we are planning to stay at the Disneyland Hotel for 5 days before we board the Disney Wonder.

I am considering upgrading our WDW AP to the Disney Premiere Annual Passport (the price to purchase a 5 day DL park hopper is almost what it would cost the upgrade our WDW AP to the Premiere Annual Pass) and I was wondering about AP room discounts at DL. We will be at DL over Easter weekend. Does anyone know if DL offers AP discounts over holidays????

Also, any idea when the 2011 DL rates will be released?

Unfortunately not for a while. The AP rates are only posted a few months out. For example, right now it is the end of June, and they only have rates through the end of September posted.

I understand that AP rates are only posted a few months out...I was wondering more about past history....if there is no chance of any discounts over holidays, that might sway me to just purchase a 5 day DL park hopper tix instead of upgrading our WDW AP.

If the price is nearly the same, I would upgrade at least one of the passes, because you will get some nice discounts

I would not expect to see "good" AP rates over any holiday, but you never know. Presidents week 2009, not usually a discounted week, resulted in some good AP rates, because I convince my cousins to get an AP and get the discounted rate. They saved $1200 and they also got upgraded to a suite for fee! I think they owe me a whole trip!

I just checked the AP rates for September and then checked the same dates on hotels.com and that rate was FAR lower...
