Ex just booked our trip! Oct 17-26 at the Fort. We plan on staying in a preferred site, hopefully Loop 300 to be closer to the marina.
I was wondering if anyone had first hand knowledge tent camping in preferred sites? What are the pros & cons from your experience? From all my searching it seems like Loop 300 would suite us best. What's your favorite preferred loop to tent camp in?
Does the bike barn offer child seats on bikes? Can you rent them for more than 1 day at a time? Is it possible to ride bikes over to fort wilderness lodge? If so what's the travel time like?
How buggy does it get in October? Should I invest in the mosquito fighting gear?
Are Golf carts very readily available if I want to get one for the day?
Thanks so much in advance!

welcome! :)
I can't answer all of you questions but I've tent camped on the 400 loop...pros: very convenient to the settlement and boats to MK, cons: very noisy! Disney's trucks start rumbling along very early in the morning! I've also tent camped in 2000 many years ago...it was very nice but a long way from the settlement...quieter tho.

you can rent golf carts from outside companies that will be cheaper than Disney's...Kenny's Tee Time gets mentioned positively quite a bit but I've never rented a cart and still had a great time.

again, welcome!
