Questions on stay on point rentals

Hello

I just booked a stay at Aulani for next summer using DVC points. I have never rented points before and I had a couple of questions. I am assuming we won’t get daily maid service as we are renting points, is this correct? If we need extra bath towels, can we get them and are we charged for this? Also my kids like extra blankets for sleeping at night, even in Hawaii. Is there a way to request extra blankets? Thanks for any responses. Am new to this whole renting points thing!

You can ask for extra towels, but you should get more on ‘trash and towel’ day (day 4 if you’re staying a week, it changes for longer stays)

I don’t know about blankets.

If you're in a 1 BR or larger, you can also wash towels as needed, as you have in-villa laundry. With regard to blankets, you can just call housekeeping to request, no fee applies.

As an aside in the 2 bedroom villas there are always extra blankets in both wardrobes in the bedroom, as well as inside the “coffee table” in the living room

If you call, they *may* bring you extra towels as a courtesy but no guarantees. I know at other DVC properties, there is a towel package you can purchase - I think this is offered at Aulani as well.

DVC used to charge for additional towel packages but now they are free. You do still have to pay for additional cleaning. This is from the website:


Additional Amenity Requests
You’ll be provided with the following amenities at no extra charge at the start of your stay and during each Housekeeping service. These amenities can also be replenished upon request at no additional charge:

• Coffee Package: Includes 1 package of coffee, 8 sugars, 8 creamers, 8 artificial sweeteners
• Towel Package: Includes 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 4 washcloths, 1 bath mat
• Laundry Detergent (only in 1-, 2- and 3-Bedroom Villas): Includes 1 box for 1 load of laundry
