questions on room only CRO reservation

I made a room only reservation for LVC at Poly for 1/6-11/04. I'm hoping to switch this and a reservation I also have for Dream Maker package into 2 room only AP rates if those rates come out.

On the package with WDTC I paid a $200 deposit and must pay balance 45 days out. If I cancel 45-5 days out I loose $100, if I cancel less than 5 days out I loose $200.

I just got the room only confirmation(not on WDTC form) in the mail and I owe 1 night deposit by 11/5/03 and can cancel up to 5 days out without penalty so I assumed this was a CRO reservation and I pay the balance at check-in BUT....it says I owe the balance by 12/16/03. Is this something new?

If you have a 12 digit confirmation number you are booked as a room only in CRO. If you have an 8 digit confirmation then you are booked in WDTC.

You will not be able to convert the Dream Maker Package over to an AP rate if they become available. You will have to rebook through CRO and apply a new despoit, then cancel the package in WDTC and have your deposit refunded.

I had the same thing on my room only reservation. I paid the one night deposit w/ cc when I made the reservation for 12/2 - 12/12. When I got the confirmation papers it said the balance was due 11/17, even though it is supposed to be at check in. I called twice and both times the cm assured me it was a glitch in the computer and to ignore it. It made me feel better but still panicked that I'd show up and my reservation would be cancelled, so I asked them to send me a new paper w/out the due date and the first cm said it wasn't neccessary, but the second cm sent one out so the new paper I have doesn't have the due date.

There is a glitch in CRO's computer system where if you use any type of discount code it will sometimes come up as a package, showing the balance due in advance when it actually is not. As long as the confirmation number is 12 digits, you will pay a deposit of one night room and tax and don't have to pay the balance until check in.

WDTC's version of room only is called the Basic Plan. This will have a $200 deposit due with payment in full required 45 days prior to arrival. Your confirmation number will be 8 digits.
