Questions on room discounts

Ok, I am a frequent Disney guest and before have recieved my room discounts via MK club turned Disney club, now gone.

I have been reading some threads as of late (just found boards, great by the way). And how in the world do I find or go about getting some of these other discounts like comeback discounts and what have you?

I bought an annual pass this year because I have heard you can receive room discounts and it actually worked out it would be more valuable to do the pass this way because of our trip this year and when we plan on going next year.

I had called reservations and asked for updates and was told that not all resorts offer room discounts, which incidently I was told otherwise when I purchased the thing so this dis-heartened me just a wee bit.

So if anyone can help me or give me insight I would be extremely appreciative

There are usually AP discounts of some kind on rooms. The amount varies from resort to resort and from season to season. There are a limited number of rooms available at the discount rate, and when those are gone, they are gone...unless WDW decides to add more or unless people cancel out.

I have gotten AP discounts at mods and deluxe resorts. Never had a problem with the time I wanted or resort. I just visit these boards and mousesavers frequently so I am on top of the rates! Don't bother with calling Disney, we usually know alot more before they do LOL!!!!! As far as come back rates, I don't think they do that anymore. What it was was a postcard offered to people who had just visited. It seemed pretty random. Some people got it while at WDW. I haven't heard anything about it recently. Here's an example of the AP rates and resorts most recently from mousesavers:

WDW Annual Passholders can ask for Code BCG and get special discounted rates for check-ins 4/18/04-7/4/04. So far the following rate has been reported:

Moderates - $74 standard, $89 preferred

Animal Kingdom Lodge - $124 standard, $145 pool view, $200 savannah view, $365 concierge
Wilderness Lodge - $124 standard, $139 woods view, $175 courtyard view
Contemporary - $149 standard view garden wing
Beach/Yacht Club - $214 standard, $280 water view
Polynesian - $229 garden view, $315 lagoon view
Grand Floridian - $340 lagoon view
Other resorts, room types and views should be available at varying prices!
