Questions on Resale Process

I am really hoping my new points will show up in my account before the 7-month window opens for my next trip's dates. My contract was submitted for ROFR this past Monday (5/2). I am already a member direct and I am paying cash. We made sure to fill out out the paperwork to match our direct contract. I heard those two things might speed it up a bit. Is that true? Anyone think it is possible that my points will show up in my account for reservations before 7/25?

I wouldn't bet any farms on it.

If you're lucky, they'll decline ROFR in 28 days, instead of 30. Then you have about 4 weeks for titling and closing stuff to occur, then 2-3 weeks for Disney to get their act together. So it COULD happen by mid-July, but there are also two federal holidays in the mix.

I think it COULD happen. I just wouldn't, you know, hinge my future health and happiness on the process being prompt.

That's about 80 days, so I think it's very, very possible. Being an existing member only saves you one, maybe two days. While you can overnight all your paperwork and payment, you're at the mercy of the seller to get their documents sent in.

It took my contract from 1/19 (submitted for ROFR) until 4/27 for the points to show up in our account. So 3 1/2 months. I'd say keep expectations low.
