Questions on picking up rental car at MCO

We will be renting a car at MCO for the first time in October and I have some questions.

How far is it from baggage claim ( Northwest Airlines) to the National car rental site?

Do all in your party carry their luggage to National or does one person pick up the car and come back to pick up passengers and luggage? If so, is it easy to find your way back to the passenger pick up area?

When returning the car at MCO, do all in your party go to return the car?

How do you get back from the car rental dropoff to the terminal you are flying out from?

How much extra time do you need to allow to return the car and get back to the terminal?

Thanks for any help you can give us.

National is right on site, so it will be a painless procedure. You could probably have one person get the car, but it's not too far for your family to walk, especially if you rent one of the luggage carts. You take the shuttle train to the baggage claim area and then go downstairs to the car rental counters. After doing your paperwork, you walk across the street to the garage where National/Alamo have their cars together. That's it! You bring the car back to the garage, and after drop-off, you simply walk across the street to the terminal.

Hi

It is not far it is a little walk just follow the signs to National car. There is a inside one for reugular customers but if you are an Emerald Club Member then you do not have to go to the one by luggage you go right across to the National counter in the garage it is very easy I would say all go to the car it is very easy this way you go right out on to the road after you get your paper work done. And for the return it only takes us a few minutes for the return and we all walk over to our airline This is one of the best car places to rent from. Hope you enjoy WDW going in October too with my DH looking forward to it Have any more questions fell free to e-mail me

We usually split up upon arriving in the main terminal. I'll take the elevator to the ground floor for car rental pickup. The rest of my party will take the escalator down one level to baggage claim.

I'll get the vehicle, exit the parking lot, and then drive around to our airline's location on the arriving flights level to pick up everyone and the luggage. If everything goes well, we're at WDW within an hour of arrival at MCO.

We always rent a luggage cart in baggage claim. On the return, we drop off the checked luggage at curbside check-in and then return the car. It's an easy walk from the garage over to the terminal, just cross a 2 or 3 lane street (there is a crosswalk).

Thanks everyone for the information. I didn't realize you could rent luggage carts, so we will probably do that and all stay together.
