questions on first visit

IN the October 29- Nov 6 2011. My family of 4 will make our trip to Both Universal studios and Islands of adventure. This is our first trip to any of the parks, what are the ride lines like on that time of year? And are there any fastpast type things like Disney worth getting?????

You shouldn't need the Express Pass for those dates--crowds should be light to moderate at worst. Be aware that HHN will be going on the first few nights of your visit, so the Studios will close earlier than usual.

This should be a great time to go. The weather is perfect.

I don't think that your crowds will be heavy but I would still get to Wide World of Harry Potter early. Plus it might be wise to ride the temperamental Rip Ride Rockit as early as possible too. Be aware that some in park restaurants close at 5 for some reason.
