questions on dinner and shows

There are musicals, variety shows, magicians, comedians, who whats to be a mouseketer every or something every night. It is usually done two times that evening so that each dinner seating will get a chance to see it. So if you have the early seating, you can see it after dinner. If you have the late seating, you see it before.

Also, there are lots of smaller things going on at all times-dueling pianos, 70's night etc. Check out the navigators for your particular cruise on Barb or Dave's site to get more info.

Have fun

If you have early seating, it is after dinner, If you have late seating, you see the show first. There is some type of show/entertainment planned each night from what I remember. We only did the 3 night but are doing the 7 in November.

On the 7 nighters there is a "show" every night. All of them are live except for one night (thursdays I believe) that they show the latest Disney movie (we saw Nemo, I bet that they are showing Pirates now)

Welcome Aboard Variety Show
Morty the Magnificent
Hercules - the Muse-ical
Who wants to be a Mouseketeer
a Disney first run movie
Disney Dreams
Farewell Variety Show

Remember the "inbetween" shows. DCL calls them "Cabaret" shows. We call them inbetween because they are between you assigned dinner seating and the main show in the Walt Disney Theater. They run from 7:45 to about 8:15. The performers are the ones who perform in the Welcome Aboard and Farewell shows. At the 7:45 time is the family shows (later in the evening the same performer does their "adults only" show - I would not have minded if my 13yo was there, it's not that "adult"). There are usually other shows/activities going on during this 7:45 time frame: in Off-Beat there's family dueling pianos and some type of "game show" up in Studio Sea. Decisions, decisions - and they are hard decisions to make because all of the shows are good.

Right now on the 7 day Western the shows are at 6:30 for the 8:30 seating (late) and at 8:30 for the 6:30 seating (early). And as was said above - there is a show in between or various activities in between that start at 7:45. The shows were generally an hour long.

One other thing that I saw - for people that had the late dinner seating, I saw alot of people coming dressed in their daily wear of shorts, etc. and then they would go to their room and change for dinner in between the show and the dinner seating - you usually had an hour. So if you have little ones or you don't want to sit in the theater all dressed up - you could do this. And probably the same for the early seating - if you wanted to go back and change before the 8:30 show - you might have time. We generally saw though that it took about 2 hours for the late seating dinners.
