If you get the ressie day by day, do you have multple ressies and need new keys every day?

What are the advantages and also the disadvantages?

I would be worried that I would get everything but a day in the middle. Please reassure me!

Thanks!

If you are booking day-by-day, then it is still one reservation. They will send you a confirmation after you have completely reserved the room. Make sure that you tell MS on the first day what your length of stay will be.

You are extending the original reservation, not making separate ones.

Don't worry about the gaps. It happens to me all of the time and I just keep calling to try to fill in the holes. If it starts to get close to my arrival date, I sometimes book the dates I'm missing for cash (hopefully with a Member discount) and then cancel these reservations when the dates become available for points. Sometimes it takes a lot of work but you'll get there!!
Good luck
John

Well, here's some backhanded reassurance. If you book with one call at the end of reservation period you could still end up with everything but a day in the middle. In fact, calling at the end you would have greater chance of ending up with more unbooked days...thus the rationale for calling day by day in the first place.

this should be repeated.

if you wait till the 6th day of a 6 day trip to make the reservation, that means owners have had 5 days where they could have already booked your second day. if you're worried about not getting a day in the middle, that's when you need to call day-by-day.

the disadvantage is that it takes more time to call in each day. that's basically the only disadvantage.

I found out once you get setup after the first day, I was on the phone for less than 5 minutes for the additional days.

I was really surprised, because I was dreading doing a day by day and it was really simple. Now next time I'll probably end up being on hold for some ungodly amount of time.

Just to reiterate that, when I called around 2:00pm on the first day of my day by day reservation for a boardwalk view studio for 12/1-7, the cm told me I got one of the last ones and I should call earlier in the day for the rest. So there's no way any would have been left if I waited until 1/8 (1/7 was Sunday).
