I've heard about the Zebra Domes, but what other deserts to they have? Do they have Cheesecake & Chocolate cake like other places?

We've been 6 or 7 times and have never seen chocolate cake. The items in the dessert area are usually the same. Yummy banana bread pudding with custard sauce -MMMMM!!! Also a chocolate mousse on top of a disc of what reminds me of a Nestle crunch bar. There are tiny fruit tarts and a cheesecake, (don't remember which flavor), 3 kinds of cookies, and several other things. I've never tasted anything on the dessert buffet at Boma that I didn't love!!!

They have some awesome desserts. All the food is good, but we mainly go for the soups and desserts. They have this pineapple cheesecake with chunks of pineapple served on a white chocolate disc that are really good.

I loved the chocolate mousse crunch, maybe even more then the zebra domes, I also had the pineapple cheesecake, bread pudding, and some kind of coconut-tiramisu thing, that was yummy.

For me it is the Pineapple Cheesecake bites!!

Oh, that coconut tirimasu! With a pressed pot of coffee - wonderful! We've tried Boma twice now, and both times, we didn't like the food selections. Thank goodness for the yummy desserts!

I really liked the deserts at Chef Mickey's. They were just your basic things. I'm actualy scared to try Boma, because everything seems unusual. My family & I are not really adventurous eaters.

I found pictures of deserts from Boma-

ANYONE HAVE NAMES FOR THESE?

I see Zebra domes & fruit tarts but what is on the end?

Are they brownies next to the cookies?

In the first picture on the far front right that is the chocolate mousse crunch with the pineapple cheesecake directly behind it. In the middle in the coconut tiramisu. Not sure about the others in that picture. In the second picture beside the fruit tarts is the banana bread pudding. And yes in the third picture those are kind of cakey brownie thingies. lol They were all very good! :worship:

The little tarts in the photo are the passion fruit tarts with meringe topping. Along with the banana bread pudding they are my favorite dessert items at Boma. I've tried the zebra domes, but I'm not a big fan of mocha flavor so didn't particularly care for them. But the passion fruit tarts are lovely.

The brownies are fantastic!

DH asked me to go get a plate with one of every dessert, for the 3 of us to share & sample everything. I skipped over things like the cookies & brownies, figuring that we could have cookies & brownies anywhere. DH went back to get us seconds on a couple of desserts, and he had a brownie too. Turns out that the brownie was our favorite - it's not a typical brownie. I found the recipe on allears. I just made a batch for a potluck & actually had someone insist that it was fudge.

I'll be eating there this Monday night, I'll be sure to sample all the desserts and let you know what they have.

How are the fruit tart? Anyone try them?

You mean the triangular ones with different fruits, not the merengue ones, right? If so, they were excellent! There's a small glob of custard that "glues" the fruit to the pastry. It's very light and refreshing, a very nice change from all the heavier type foods and desserts.

Me too. I would leave happy if I only ate the soups and Zebra Domes!

Do they have any less "fancy" desserts for the kids. My kids love the Chef Mickey desserts for the icecream and the chocolate chip cookies. I would hate to pay to eat there and have them completely disappointed.

Yes, they had 2-3 different kinds of cookies...I know one was chocolate chip because that's what my son ate. There's also sometimes a brownie of some kind (from reading online menu options) but they didn't have it when we went in December.

And please remember, the desserts, like a lot of the offerings at Boma, are rotated. You may not find all the things you've got pictured on this thread.

And you may find something new and scrumptious that you can tell us about!
