Questions - New Memories Bride

Hello...We have just decided to do a Disney wedding in June. It will just be us and our 2 teenage children so we are doing the Memories package. I have contacted DFTW through the website and I am just waiting on a callback. I have tried to take in all the information I can but most of what I find seems to apply to Wishes/Escapes weddings. Can you all please help me with a few questions:

1. I really want a video of the wedding so I am looking at outside vendors. I have contacted Steve at STVS Video and he actually has a package deal with Chapman photography who does awesome work as well. If I go with an outside vendor can I still use my hour with the Disney photographers that comes with the package? I hate to pay for something I can't use.

2. Is there any way at all to get pictures with the characters (mainly Mickey) in our wedding attire (traditional)? I believe you can only rent them with Wishes/Escapes weddings. I know I can't wear my dress in the parks.

3. Any tips/ideas to make the entire day as special as possible? We are staying at AKL, but thought about getting a room for just us at the Poly on our wedding night.

4. Vendor suggestions for hair and make-up?

5. What about dress steaming and tux rental?

They usually don't send out their photographer if you're hiring your own because they can get in each other's way.

You can't add characters to a Memories event, so what people often do is make a reservation at a character meal at one of the resorts before or after the event.

That sounds nice! Be sure to note the celebration on all your events and wear the Happily Ever After buttons they give out at the front desk/Guest Relations.

I used Patricia LeJeune, but she may have a minimum number of services required in order to come to the resort. She also has a salon you can go to, though.

5. What about dress steaming and tux rental?

Carolyn Allen and Men's Wearhouse (Winter Garden) both deliver tuxes to WDW and pick them up. Carolyn Allen and Loftis Productions will come to your room to steam your gown.
