I am trying to plan our first trip to Universal and could use some opinions to help me get started. We are going to be in Orlando from Thursday 8/21-Wed 8/27. I don't have any flexibility with the dates because my kids are going to be in FL with my parents for the 2 weeks prior, and we have to go down to pick them up so we are trying to make a vaction out of it. We are going to stay at an RCI time share and rent a car. We would also like to go to Sea World.
Any recommendations on which tickets we should purchase? We have 5 full days there but dont necessarily have to go to a park each day. I would like to make sure we see everything at US/IOA.
I am thinking our best value is the $300 Orlando Flex Ticket, but I am wondering if there any other cheaper options that would allow access to both US/IOA and SW for less days . I am also wondering how crowed it will be at this time and how close all the parks are. If we got the Flex ticket would we be able to go to Aquatica in the morning and then head to US/IOA in the evening? Id hate to buy a ticket with so many options and not use them!
Any thoughts on the best/closet RCI resort to the US/IOA area?
Any tips or thoughts appreciated! I am not really sure were to begin, I am used to WDW planning, lol!
