Questions for upcoming trip to Disneyland

It looks like I am going to Disneyland Paris for the first time since spring 2010 and I have a few questions that I am hoping you can help me with.

I am going for 5 days and we are also hoping to go back for the inaugural half marathon weekend so I am going to get an annual pass as this makes the most financial sense. I have read that the annual passes include Extra Magic Hours. Does this still apply if I stay offsite?

Is there a way to find out the gate price for a one day ticket? My husband will join me at Disneyland for one day only. I can see that I can get a one day ticket for £61 via the UK website. However, with my annual pass I can get a 20% discount on a one day ticket and I wonder if I am better off waiting and buy it on the day.

I will celebrate my birthday on one of the days that I am being at the parks. Do they do a birthday button?

I read something on the website of a UK ticket broker that Fastpass is exclusive to tickets sold in the UK. Is this really correct?

I am hoping to head to the parks as soon as I get to Paris. I will travel with only hand luggage. Are there lockers that are big enough for a standard piece of hand luggage?

I have read that Disneyland Paris does do Photopass+ now. Do I have to purchase this in advance (if so, how?) or do I purchase this at the parks?

Yes, Dream and Fantasy passes allow EMH when staying off site.

We usually buy the tickets for friends beforehand, it saves waiting in lines at the turnstyles.

They don't do the badges like the do in the American parks for celebrations. I think you can get a birthday sticker though from City Hall.

No, that is not true. All entrance tickets can be used at the fastpass machines.

The lockers at the entrance no longer work. You can store bags though at guest services located to the right hand side of the park entrance before you go in.

I would buy your photopass+ when you get there. Wait until you have bought your AP as you can then buy the annual photopass for the same price as the 10 day photopass with the AP discount. That way it is valid for a whole year.

I hope this helps.

Thanks. This is wonderful. I have now made the jump and booked the hotel.

Which hotel have you booked Corinna? The onsite hotels always include tickets in the price so its not worth getting an AP if you are onsite as well already have your tickets included.
Is Graham staying with you for the whole time in the hotel and only doing the parks for one day (as I know he often does his own thing on your American trips) or is he only joining you for a day? The reason I ask this is you can book the room just for one person and add the 2nd person on at arrival and just pay local tax (usually a couple of Euros per night) This will get them breakfast and use of all facilities etc but no tickets to the park. This option is often used as a cheaper option if you have an AP and don't need tickets.

As mentioned the lockers in the park don't work now but there are lockers at the train station just outside the park - they are different sizes and fit a small suitcase in however if you have a dream AP you can use the left luggage facility at the park for free.

This is a definite bonus trip on a budget so I am staying at the Ibis Marne-la-Vallee Champs. We have stayed there a few times before and you cannot argue with £30 a night.

No, the poor chap has to work. He will fly over after work on Friday as the Saturday is my birthday and then we fly back together on Sunday.

Thanks. I wonder how this would work. I have only had an annual pass for Disneyland Paris once, but I got a temporary pass from a ticket window and then had to go to the annual pass office inside the park to get my proper pass. So would I have to wait until I have that and then take my hand luggage to left luggage facility? I don't mind if this is the case. The bag I am taking sits pretty happily on my shoulder and from memory the annual pass office is not that far from the entrance.

Just wanted to wish you a great trip to DLP, Corinna! I would love to hear your impressions about the Christmas offerings afterwards as we will be there during the Christmas season as well.
