Questions for those who have used the new Costco hoppers?

Hi, I have a question for those who have used the new Costco hopper deal.

We are not So Cal residents, but we will be visiting a relative down there who could buy the passes for us, however it doesn't seem like she wants to go to the park with us. I think anyone can purchase the passes at Costco, but sounds like we would need her to redeem the actual passes at the park since they require to see ID, correct? Would help if she could just go with us.

we used it for the first time today and they wanted to see my ID, but that was all.

We used the Costco hoppers 2 weeks ago and went into D-Land twice and CA once and neither time was I asked for ID. I did not have my name on the back of the tickets either. But I guess it depends on who the person is who is working the gate.

You must produce SoCal ID. Some CMs are too lazy to ask, but you risk being asked, in which case you can apply the value of the ticket towards a ticket you qualify for, but the replacement ticket must be of equal or greater value.

Do the Costco hoppers need to be redeemed or swapped at the ticket both for actual passes, or can you take the Costco hoppers directly to the turnstiles?

On my last trip in September, I too finally heard from a ticketboth cast member the spiel about how as long as a So Cal resident purchases them, anyone can use them. I think that is just weird but I finally heard it with my own ears from an employee.

But it would really help us if my aunt could join us just in case, she's just not a Diser.

You take the Costco tickets directly to the entrance..no going to the ticket booth.

Again, I dont know why we weren't asked any of the times we went through but the attendant didn't even check to see if anyones name was written on the back of the ticket.
